I really like her style(s), especially the dress she wore here, and I think
she is incredibly talented, but this whole episode was so uncomfortable. I
don’t know what it was, it felt like she was trying to put on some act, and
the musical performance was particularly weird. She was too energetic and
handsy in contrast to Tony Bennett, it was awkward. I think she was really
trying to encapsulate an old-timey glamourous film star or lounge singer,
but it came off really flakey. She is a great performer normally and a
talent nonetheless.

Let’s just no compare Katy Perry to Lady Gaga. Gaga is an artist and a
creator. Katy just sings about what her team says she should to make money
off of brainwashed kids. Maybe that makes more views and more money, but
that’s not what Gaga is about. She’s a cultural icon now, while no one will
necessarily remember Katy or her impact on the world when she stops making
music.

It’s insane how competitive pop music is, numbers don’t make music “GOOD”
it’s what feeds the masses….I only listen to BORN THIS WAY and ARTPOP
mostly from Lady Gaga…..The Fame was awesome but more generic. Generic
doesn’t interest me, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Areola Grande, this Iggy
person, Miley Cyrus and whoever else is on the radio today that the kids
listen to, I never listen to the radio, I go on i-tunes every week and see
what music’s new, sample it and if i like it buy it. I don’t look on
Billboard and download whoever is in the top 10. I wont be told what to
like because of chart placement LOL! This numbers game is exhausting, who’s
#1 for the longest, who sold the most, people are crazy
