How to survive the collapse in demand for CDs, if you’re a specialist and independent retailers? Trying to diversify the range of products for sale in the shop, of course. In the U.S., according to data collected by the noted specialist in sales, nearly 30 percent of revenue comes from products record stores as a group as “lifestyle”: books, comics, games, video games, posters and t -shirts. The lion’s share of the toys do, however, with 22% and audio accessories and consumer electronics (stereo headphones in the first place).
