Beck Martin, DJ Asym – It’s About Friday Night: artist context

Beck Martin

Beck Martin is an international singer, songwriter, DJ and EDM artist. Born in Prague, Czech Republic, he later moved to the United Kingdom and established his career in London. His work extends across music, live performance, digital media, publishing and independent music entrepreneurship.

Martin began releasing music before his 2016 appearance on The X Factor UK. His early catalogue includes the 2015 album I Love My Life and singles including “Friday Night” and “Bad Boy”. His performance of the original “Friday Night” on The X Factor UK introduced him to a much wider audience and led to the “Mr Friday Night” identity associated with the track. He later returned to the programme for the 2016 Finals at Wembley Arena.

Since then, Martin has continued to develop his career independently, releasing new music, producing visual content and building his own creative and business infrastructure. His catalogue includes tracks such as “Monday Morning”, “To the Top”, “Evil Angel” and “Friday Night”. His entrepreneurial activities also include New World Arts Ltd., the independent company behind his music and other creative projects.

Beyond music, Martin has also worked in publishing, including the books Red Evil and Building a Dream, reflecting the broader creative and entrepreneurial path that has accompanied his recording career.

His latest release, “It’s About Friday Night”, sees Beck Martin collaborating with London DJ and producer DJ Asym. The track revisits the spirit of the original “Friday Night” through contemporary electronic production, soulful female vocals and an anthemic dance-floor sound.

For Martin, the idea behind the song goes beyond Friday night itself: it reflects a positive philosophy focused on enjoying the moment, embracing life and giving people a reason to feel good. The accompanying conceptual music video extends that energy into a contemporary visual setting.
